WHERE IS YOUR WATER SOURCED?
Have you watched Netflix’s Down to earth: Episode 2?
We’ve had a lot of people reach out to learn more about our water after watching Zac Efron’s Netflix series Down to Earth: Episode 2. In the episode, Zac Efron and Anna Kendrick’s minds are completely blown away by water sommelier, Martin Riese, as they learn about natural waters, where they are sourced, TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), and mineral profiles.
BELOW are just some of the questions we have received as a result of the Netflix series.
Where is Jackson Springs Water sourced?
Jackson Springs Natural Premium Spring Water is sourced from a secluded aquifer, right here in Manitoba. The aquifer is remnants of the last ice age and over 13,000 years old. The water is naturally filtered through the rocky Canadian terrain. The natural filtration provides a rich mineral profile, alkaline pH, and the award winning taste our customers love.
This remote, protected location is one of the highest elevations in the province and is surrounded by three Provincial forests.
Our competitors bottled water is commonly processed municipal tap water.
What is the TDS of your water?
TDS (total Dissolved Solids) is a measure of the dissolved combined content of all inorganic and organic substances present in a liquid in molecular, ionized, or micro-granular (colloidal sol) suspended form. TDS is sometimes referred to as parts per million (ppm).
Common inorganic salts that can be found in water include calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium.
Our water has a TDS of 238 ppm.
Our competitors bottled water has a TDS of 2 to 30 ppm.
Are there minerals in your water?
Jackson Springs Water has a moderate mineral profile as recommended by the World Health Organization. It’s mineral profile provides its’ refreshing taste, and silky smooth finish.
It offers four times more calcium and five times more magnesium than any other bottled water sourced in North America.
Most consumers are not aware that most processed (distilled or reverse osmosis) waters have been totally stripped of all natural minerals and are acidic in nature.
MINERAL ANALYSIS (MG/L)
Sodium Non Detectable
Sulphate Non Detectable
Fluoride Non Detectable

pH (units) 8.1
Calcium 52.6 mg/L
Magnesium 16.1 mg/L
Potassium 1.38 mg/L

Total Dissolved Solids 238 ppm
Is you water alkaline or acidic?
Water contains different dissolved elements that influence its pH level. Pure water has a pH level close to 7. Alkaline water has a pH above 7. The pH of distilled water ranges from 5.5 to 5.8 and the pH of reverse osmosis water is around 6.0.
Our water has a natural pH of 8.1.
Our competitors bottled water has an average pH of 3 to 6.5.
